Joint Hone Defense (Japanese: 守備の相互鼓舞 Mutual Defense Inspiration) is a passive type C skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; unlike most passive skills in Heroes, Joint Hone Defense comes in only one tier, contracted to Joint Hone Def in-game. Joint Hone Defense is a greatly-enhanced fourth-tier equivalent of Fortify Defense (contrary to its name implying the existence of a skill called "Hone Defense") in that users with it grant drastic temporary boosts to the Defense of the user's adjacent allies in the same fashion as Hone Attack, as well as the skill's user.
