Ignis (Japanese: 華炎 Blossoming Flame) is a sword skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Awakening. Associated with the Grandmaster class, when activated it adds half of whichever of the user's offensive stat (strength or magic) is not currently being used to the damage dealt to the enemy.

Trivia

  • When an enemy is struck by an Ignis-backed blow, they are surrounded by a shower of flower petals. The skill's Japanese name, "Blossoming Flame", references this: 華 hana can be taken to mean both "magnificent" and, more commonly, "flower'.
