Deen is a knight of [[Thracia]]; he was ordered by Prince [[Arion]] in secret to keep [[Linoan]] of [[Tarrah]] safe, requiring that he desert the Thracian army.<ref>{{Cite|...There's more to it than that. After Thracia's forces take over the city, Deen joins [[Leif]]'s liberation army.

Deen is a playable character. He is available from the start of [[Open Fire|Chapter&nbsp;14]]. In Chapter&nbsp;14, Deen and [[Eda]] are part of their own faction, and as such do not gain any bonus from [[Authority]]. In the same chapter, if Deen [[visit]]s the south-western house, he will be given his [[personal weapon]], the [[Dragonpike]]. If [[Linoan]] is captured or killed at any point, Deen will leave the party at the end of the chapter.
