Contrary to what its name implies, Distant Foil does not deal specifically with [[range]]-2 targets; Distant Foil boosts its wielder's [[Attack (stat)|Attack]] and [[Defense]] during combat when a target wielding a [[sword]], [[Lance (weapon)|lance]], [[axe]], any color of [[bow]], any color of [[dagger]], or any color of [[beast]] skill initiates combat against its wielder, and also allows its wielder to counterattack regardless of its target's range.
