Lon'qu previously served as Basilio's champion in Ferox's inter-khan tournament, but was defeated and replaced by [[Lucina|Marth]]. Following [[Chrom]]'s victory in the tournament as [[Flavia]]'s champion, Basilio assigned Lon'qu to serve with Chrom, as "West Ferox's contribution" to [[Ylisse]]'s defense.

Lon'qu is typically silent and unsociable, speaking only when necessary, but he has no idea how to interact with women; he gets flustered in their presence and tries to make a red-faced getaway as soon as they get near. His gynophobia is caused by a traumatic childhood incident in which his childhood friend [[Ke'ri]] was killed by bandits despite his best efforts to protect her.<ref>{{Cite|I met Ke'ri's parents. Despite his difficulty with interacting with women, Lon'qu practices to try to get better at talking to them. Lon'qu returned to Regna Ferox and served as Basilio's right-hand man. Later, he apparently challenged the West-Khan to a duel, though no record remains of why it was fought or who emerged the victor.

Many wrote of Robin's legendary exploits, but accounts of her origins and character varied. Scholars, poets, and bards agreed on one thing alone—she loved her husband, Lon'qu, above all else.
