Corrin returns in ''Smash Ultimate'' albeit much weaker than their ''Smash 4'' incarnation. The most noticeable nerfs during this transition were to his special moves. Their playstyle remains largely the same, valuing spacing and juggling above all. However, due to the faster pace of ''Smash Ultimate'', this type of playstyle is severely weaker than in the previous title. Corrin still maintains their predictable recover and massive disjoint on their attacks, but only places 42/82 on [[smashwiki:Tier list#Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list|the tier list]].

— Corrin (F) upon using her Final Smash

Corrin is a playable character in Smash 4, available through DLC. They boast above average reach and good frame data, along with a very strong combo game. However, they have below average movement and a predictable recovery, and therefore rely heavily on spacing in order to succeed. Corrin is ranked 13/54 on the tier list, placing them in the high B tier. Corrin was revealed alongside Bayonetta on December 15th, 2015. They were added through DLC on February 3, 2016.

Special Moves

  • Dragon Fang Shot (Japanese: 竜穿射): Corrin's standard special move. Upon pressing the special button, Corrin transforms their arm into a massive maw, charging a burst of water. Upon release, the water is released as a stunning projectile. A few frames afterwards, the maw clamps shut, also dealing damage.
  • Dragon Lunge (Japanese: 跳槍突): Corrin's side special move. Corrin transforms their arm into a spear and lashes forwards. If they are grounded, they will take a small hop before doing so. If the spear makes contact with terrain, Corrin will remain in place for a moment, allowing for a couple follow-up options. Flicking the movement stick towards either side will cause Corrin to dash in that direction, dealing damage and large knockback. Alternatively, flicking the movement stick upwards will allow them to jump upwards, without committing to an attack. Any targets hit by a side special that contacts terrain will be pinned down, preventing movement for a short time.
  • Draconic Ascent (Japanese: 翔竜翼): Corrin's up special move. Corrin grows dragon wings and launches upward into air, accompanied by torrents of water. This move will carry along enemies hit by any of the hitboxes. Angling the movement stick will cause the move to change in trajectory and travel distance.
  • Counter Surge (Japanese: {hl|反竜穿|Hanryusen}}): Corrin's down special move. Similar to Marth, Roy, Ike, and Chrom's down special, Corrin will assume a defensive pose for a short time. If attacked during that time period, they transform into a dragon and let loose jets of water on either side. The damage dealt scales with how much damage Corrin takes. Unlike the other variations of Counter, Corrin will reflect attacks from either side.

Palutena's Guidance (shared with other DLC characters)

Pit: Who is THAT?
Palutena: I have no data on this fighter. I can't believe it!
Viridi: It must be an intruder from another dimension!
Pit: Whoever it is, the goal remains the same: to fight and win!

Born in Hoshido but kidnapped by Nohr at a young age, Corrin was brought up by Nohrian royalty. Descended from the First Dragons, Corrin has the power to transform into a dragon. In Smash, Corrin can change parts of the body into lance-like hands and feet that have a long reach that deal more damage at the tips.
PAL: Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates was born a Hoshido royal but kidnapped as a child and raised by the Nohr royal family. Descended from the First Dragons, Corrin has the power to transform into a dragon. In Smash this means lance-like hands and feet with a long reach whose tips deal the most damage. Use this reach to inflict high damage at a distance!

If one hits an enemy, Corrin transforms into a fearsome dragon and unleashes a maelstrom that launches anyone unlucky enough to be caught. The light columns shoot straight up for a short moment, so using this move high up after knocking or throwing foes overhead is very effective!

In the World of Light, Corrin is vaporized alongside everybody else except Kirby. After Galeem is defeated, they fall under the control of Dharkon and can be fought and rescued in the Mysterious Dimension.

Any targets hit by a side special that contacts terrain will be pinned down, preventing movement for a short time. This move can now be canceled by flicking the movement stick downward.

Palutena's Guidance

Pit: For Nohr! For Hoshido! I make my own fate!
Palutena: Sounds like someone finally finished all three paths.
Viridi: When you're fighting Corrin, watch out for Dragon Fang. Corrin transforms into a dragon to attack. It's not pretty.
Palutena: Corrin has led a rough life. Having to make enemies of your family can't be easy...
Viridi: As they say, "blood is thicker than water." But they also say "A close friend is better than a distant relative," so I dunno.
Pit: But all the siblings have dragon blood in their veins, right? Why can't they just be one big, happy family?
Palutena: ...If only it were that simple.
Viridi: You're thinking about it too hard. The roots may be more important than the branches, but you need the branches to...uh...get the fruit. Or whatever.

Spirit Data

Corrin's male fighter spirit can be obtained by completing classic mode or purchased in the vault shop. Corrin's female fighter spirit can only be obtained through purchase in the vault shop.
