The '''Black Eagle House''' (Japanese: {{ruby|{{hl|黒鷲の学級|Adorākurasse}}|アドラークラッセ}} ''Black Eagle Class'', ''Adlerklasse'') is one of the three houses at the [[Officers Academy]] in [[Garreg Mach Monastery]]. This house is comprised of students from the [[Adrestian Empire]]; the class of 1180 is headed by the imperial princess [[Edelgard von Hresvelg]]. Students from Adrestia typically favor [[axe]]s and [[magic (element)|magic]].  In the Crimson Flower route of {{FE16}}, former Black Eagles side with Adrestia in its war against the [[Church of Seiros]] and form the [[Black Eagle Strike Force]].

===Class of 1180===

On Silver Snow and if recruited on the Azure Moon and Verdant Wind routes, the previous students of the house sans [[Edelgard]] and [[Hubert]]—who abandon the monastery in 1181—reunite with Byleth in 1185 on the day of the millennium festival, join their chosen faction and accompany them throughout the war against Adrestia, with most members renouncing their noble titles in the process. On the Crimson Flower route, Byleth defects to the Empire after siding with Edelgard in 1181 and all members of the house escape the monastery. In an Imperial fort, the new Emperor creates the Black Eagle Strike Force which, while acting as the Empire's elite military squad in their endeavors against the [[Church of Seiros]], the [[Leicester Alliance]] and the [[Holy Kingdom of Faerghus]] from that point onward, is not officially founded up until their teacher's return in 1185 by Edelgard and Hubert.

If not recruited on the Azure Moon and Verdant Wind routes, all members will remain at Edelgard's side during the war, protect Adrestian-occupied locations and fight in the Battle at Gronder against Byleth's chosen faction. Edelgard, Hubert, and Ferdinand are always slain in the war; Petra, Bernadetta, and Dorothea can die or survive depending on the player's choices; Caspar and Linhardt can die or survive on the Azure Moon route, but are almost certainly killed regardless of the player's decisions on the Verdant Wind route.
