Barthe, as is typical of Knights, has high HP, high defense, and high strength, while all other stats are very low. This combination of statistics limits Barthe's usefulness throughout the game. He is not good at fighting, as he is locked to inaccurate lances and has low skill and luck, resulting in terrible hit rates. Barthe is also not good at taking magical damage because of his low resistance, and he cannot take much damage from axe users, as they will double him and have weapon triangle advantage against him.
