It is comprised of these games' offensive spells. Spells not exclusive to these games appear as other types of magic in other games in the series. Despite the name, two black magic spells appear in other games of the series as [[Light (magic)|light magic tomes]]. Along with [[white magic]], black magic makes up the broader magic weapon type in the original NES release, but it is split from it in the remake.
