Vestaria Saga Gaiden: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister (Japanese: ヴェスタリアサーガ外伝 シルヴァビルヒの聖なる剣 Vestaria Saga Gaiden: Holy Sword of Silvabirch) is a strategy role-playing game developed by Fire Emblem series creator Shouzou Kaga that was released on March 27, 2019. Vestaria Saga Gaiden is one of the two "gaiden" installments that have been released, the other being Vestaria Saga Gaiden: Lucca Gaiden.
On 15 December, 2021, an upgraded version of Vestaria Saga Gaiden, dubbed Vestaria Saga II (Japanese: ヴェスタリアサーガⅡ シルヴァビルヒの聖なる剣 Vestaria Saga II: Holy Sword of Silvabirch), was announced, with an open beta releasing on 18 December. The upcoming game originally dubbed Vestaria Saga II was in turn renamed to Vestaria Saga III.

Development
On February 2015, Shouzou Kaga blogged about an unfinished 2010 game he developed titled Vestaria Chonicle 687-693. Though Vestaria Chonicle's original incarnation was long cancelled, Kaga announced the project's revival in May 2015 under the title Vestaria Saga: The Seven Sacred Rings (Japanese: ヴェスタリアサーガ：七つの聖環). Over the course of the game's development, Kaga numerous updates regarding Vestaria Saga's progress on his blog. Early builds utilized unused character portraits from TearRing Saga: Yutona Heroes War Chronicles for Vestaria Saga's cast. These were replaced with original portraits from Mayumi Hirota later in development.
