The '''Royal Sword''' (Japanese: {{hover|王家の剣|Ōke no tsurugi}} ''Royal Family's Sword'') is a [[sword]] that was introduced in {{FE2}}. It is the first of [[Alm]]'s two [[personal weapon]]s in ''Gaiden'' and its remake, {{title|Echoes: Shadows of Valentia}}, the second being [[Falchion]]. Moderately powerful, very accurate, and with a respectable critical rate, Alm regains 5 [[Hit point|HP]] each turn as long as he equips this sword. In ''Shadows of Valentia'', it also teaches Alm his exclusive [[combat art]]s, [[Double Lion]] and [[Scendscale]], as well as the more common [[Subdue]].

However, in the year 401 it was stolen by [[Desaix]] as he fled Zofia Castle following his defeat by the [[Deliverance]].<ref>{{cite|That mongrel Desaix stole the royal sword when he turned tail and ran.
