===Analysis===
{{analysis}}
Cynthia is blessed with one of the strongest mothers among the first generation. Sumia passes down the Pegasus Knight, Knight, and Cleric classes; this combination gives her Galeforce access, Luna, Lancefaire, and Tomefaire. Her mods are very good, with +1 Magic and +4 Speed, pointing her towards a magic build. In addition, all of her fathers except potentially Robin bring her Strength mod up to at least neutral, making her very versatile. Generally, Cynthia wants Galeforce, Lancefaire, or Tomefaire as her direct inheritance from Sumia; she does best as a Sage or Dark Falcon with any father other than Frederick. The only real point of improvement is to get stat mods, and maybe a backup offensive skill.
====Robin====
With Robin as her father, Cynthia is granted total class access. Her performance, like any Robin child, depends on Robin's mods, but like most children she benefits most from +Speed -Defense for a significant boon to her offense. Robin can pass her many powerful male-only skills like Wrath or Axefaire to improve her versatility, and Morgan has no issues with Sumia as her mother. Like any Robin pairing, this is a good match.
====Chrom====
Chrom gives Cynthia his solid mods, for a total +5 Speed. Cynthia always inherits the Aether skill from Chrom, which is a powerful supplement to improve offensive reliability. The Cavalier class line isn't very helpful since she already has Luna and lacks Swordfaire to make Paladin a viable alternative to Dark Falcon. However, Archer can provide accuracy with Prescience and give her another finishing class in Sniper. This Cynthia does especially well in Apotheosis, since she can double any enemy with a Berserker husband from the absolute safety of Longbow range. All in all, this is a splendid pairing.
====Frederick====
Frederick is Cynthia's worst potential father from a personal standpoint. His mods clash horrifically with Sumia's, resulting in a neutered Cynthia with no mods greater than 2 other than her +5 Skill mod. In addition, he doesn't provide any particularly good skills to bolster Cynthia's fighting prowess. The best paternal inheritance options Cynthia has are probably Swordbreaker, Lancebreaker, or Strength +2. This Cynthia wants to be a Paladin or Wyvern Lord to make use of her decent Strength and innate Lancefaire, since magic options are hurt by her -1 Magic mod. Generally speaking, this pairing should only be done if the alternatives are Gaius (whose Pegasus inheritance is wasted on her) or nonexistence.
====Gaius====
The biggest problem with having Gaius father Cynthia is that he passes down the powerful Pegasus Knight class and its Galeforce and Lancefaire skills to his daughters, a trait wasted on Cynthia. The loss incurred from taking him away from Noire, Kjelle, or Nah is greater than the gain incurred by giving him to Cynthia. That all said, if you insist on this pairing, from a personal standpoint it's actually pretty good. Neutral Strength and Magic mods are acceptable, and +6 Speed is incredible. Her Myrmidon inheritance gives her Astra for a secondary offensive skill and Swordfaire to improve her versatility and power with sword classes. Either skill makes for a solid paternal inheritance; if you want to give her a male-exclusive skill from Gaius' Fighter line, Counter is probably your best option. In addition to her usual magic options, Assassin is a viable choice.
====Henry====
Henry is the only father other than Robin who improves Cynthia's Magic mod, and even blesses her with a neutral Strength mod for mixed offense. Cynthia already has plenty of skills, but she still appreciates Dark Mage's accuracy options and the perfect reliability of Vengeance. If you want a male-exclusive skill from him, Wrath and Axefaire are her best choices; if you don't care about that, then Vengeance is the way to go. Henry doesn't really bring anything new to Cynthia's plate, but does improve upon what she already has and is generally considered her best father if she is denied Chrom for whatever reason.
