(Japanese: {{hl|ブリギッド|Burigiddo}} ''Briggid'') is a noblewoman of [[Grannvale]]'s House [[Yngvi]], a [[Holy Blood|full-blooded]] descendant of the Crusader [[Ulir]], the daughter of Lord [[Ring]], the sister of [[Edain]] and [[Andorey]], and the inheritor of the holy bow [[Yewfelle]]. She was separated from her family and adopted by the pirates of [[Orgahil]] as a young child, eventually rising to become their leader. During the [[Agustria]]n civil war she was reunited with Edain and joined her in [[Sigurd]]'s army.

Years after the [[Battle of Belhalla]], having lost her memories of her former life, Briggid re-emerged in [[Thracia]] as '''Eyvel''' (pronounced {{IPA|eɪvl̩}}<ref>Eyvel: Mistress of Fiana in ''Fire Emblem Heroes''</ref>Japanese: {{hl|エーヴェル|Ēveru}} ''Eyvel''), a travelling mercenary. She became the leader of the small village of [[Fiana]] and founded the [[Fiana Freeblades]] to defend the region from bandits. While in Fiana, Eyvel adopted [[Mareeta]] as her surrogate daughter, and helped protect the fugitive Prince [[Leif]]. In the year 776, when [[Nanna]] and Mareeta were abducted by [[Raydrik]], she set out with Leif to rescue them and liberate the Thracia Peninsula, but was captured and turned to [[Status conditions#Petrification|stone]] by [[Veld]], motivating Leif to raise a revolution army to oppose Raydrik and Grannvale.

In her early childhood, Briggid accompanied Ring and her siblings on a religious pilgrimage to the [[Bragi Tower]], but during the journey their ship was caught in a storm. When her foster father died, Briggid succeeded him as the leader of the Orgahil pirates. Her leadership of the group continued her father's honorable tradition, believing herself to have a duty to aid the poor of Orgahil and Agustria, to the dismay of some of the band's members. In Grann 759, during the climax of the Agustrian civil war, her former subordinate [[Duvall]] led the pirates in a mutiny against Briggid in response to her criticism of their attacks on Agustrian villages, and during her escape she was reunited with [[Edain]], now part of [[Sigurd]]'s army fighting to defend the people of Agustria from the pirates. Edain convinced Briggid to attempt to draw [[Yewfelle]], restoring her lost memories of her childhood in Yngvi, and she joined Sigurd's army in fighting the pirates, in exile in [[Silesse]] and in Sigurd's ill-fated march on Grannvale to confront the lies perpetrated against him. At some point during this time, she had two children: [[Faval]] and [[Patty]], who ended up in an orphanage in [[Conote]].

Briggid was present at the [[Battle of Belhalla]] and survived it, but was wounded and stripped of her memories. Six years after the battle, she was found washed up on the eastern coastline of [[Thracia]] by residents of the village of Iss, and was rescued and taken in by them.<ref>{{Cite|...I can't remember my own childhood, Little Lord. She became the leader of the village and established the [[Fiana Freeblades]] to defend it and the surrounding area. At some point during this time, she ventured to Conote and found a slave market attempting to sell [[Mareeta]], for which she killed the slave traders and rescued Mareeta. Some time later, after the defeat of Raydrik, obtaining the [[Kia]] staff and learning that [[Sara]] was capable of using it, Leif travelled to the [[Loptr Church|Loptrian]] temple to which Veld had retreated, and there found the still-petrified Eyvel and had Sara cure her. There, she reunited with the Fiana Freeblades, was thanked by [[Galzus]] for raising Mareeta where he could not, and was approached by [[Finn]] about her true identity. Despite Finn's certainty that he had previously known Eyvel as Briggid, Eyvel denied the possibility of being a Crusader's heir as outlandish. Nonetheless, years after the conflict ended, her memory of her true identity as Briggid eventually returned and she was reunited with Faval and Patty, now adults and the rulers of House Yngvi.

Briggid is a playable unit in the first generation. She is the only first-generation unit capable of wielding [[Yewfelle]], and along with [[Quan]] she is one of the first playable first-generation units who can access a Crusader weapon. If she is [[Love|married]] by the end of [[Doorway to Destiny|Chapter 5]], then her children [[Faval]] and [[Patty]] will be available in the second generation.

Briggid is a very powerful player phase unit, boasting enough speed to consistently activate Follow-Up and quickly gains access to Yewfelle, which almost doubles her initial attack power. Unfortunately, Genealogy's design means that combat will often happen in the enemy phase, where she is unlikely to make counter-attacks due to being bow-locked. Furthermore, she lacks a mount, so unless you go very slow, she is unlikely to reach combat outside of her initial join time. If one plays rather slowly, she can at least make for a decent bosskiller.

When it comes to her children, Faval inherits the Yewfelle making him largely self-sufficient, so optimal pairings for Briggid tend to focus on improving the much weaker Patty. Lex grants Patty Paragon for fast experience gain and Vantage to make her combat better, but this pairing is somewhat difficult to pull off due to the movement disparity and no lover's conversations. Arden doesn't have these issues and also grants Vantage, but he does not give Paragon. Dew improves Patty's survivability by passing down Sol, and also helps Faval a lot by making the Yewfelle cheaper to repair with Bargain, though the pairing is tad difficult to get since Dew has more movement than Briggid. Holyn also improves Patty's combat by passing down Luna and his minor Od blood, giving her B swords and allowing her to use the Brave Sword; however, Faval is unable to inherit Luna and does not benefit from the Od blood outside of growths. If one wishes to neglect Patty, Briggid can hook up with Jamke who has the benefit of sharing her movement speed and give a couple of extra bows to use to minimize Yewfelle repairs.

She is re-recruitable in [[The Lopt Altar|Chapter 24x]] by using the [[Kia]] staff to cure her petrification. If Chapter 24x is skipped or the player fails to use Kia on Eyvel, she will instead appear as the [[Deadlords|Deadlord]] [[Draco]] in the [[An Undying Oath|Endgame]]. As Draco is a [[Sniper]] (her class as Briggid), not a [[Swordmaster]] (her class as Eyvel), this was likely intended as a hint at her original identity.

Briggid, under her Eyvel identity, is playable as a [[SpotPass]] [[bonus unit]], released in the ''Thracia 776'' character set. She is also present as an enemy in the [[Lost Bloodlines 1|first]] and [[Lost Bloodlines 3|third]] installments of the ''Lost Bloodlines'' [[Downloadable content in Fire Emblem Awakening|DLC]] series.

Eyvel is one of the characters added to the game in the [[The Dream]] update, and became available for summoning by players on December 6, 2019.  Only one variation of Briggid is currently available in ''Heroes'', based on her ''Thracia 776'' incarnation.  At present, only her Eyvel identity has been featured in ''Heroes''; she has yet to be featured in her Briggid identity.

In contrast to her calm and reserved sister, Briggid was energetic, headstrong and fierce. She never wasted words, preferring to cut straight to the point in no uncertain terms, and did not take kindly to attempts by her pirate subordinates to contravene her mission of honesty and charity. In her Eyvel persona, while still as determined to defend the weak as ever, she mellowed slightly and adopted a more maternal persona. Leif, Nanna and many of the youths of Fiana all came to view Eyvel as a mother figure in their lives, playing a strong role in their upbringing and development in the absence of their lost mothers.<ref>{{Cite|Commander...
