Lyn finds a person unconscious in the plains, takes them in and nurtures them back to health. Once the person regains consciousness, she asks for their name and how they ended up in Sacae. Before she can introduce herself, Lyn is interrupted by bandits that have come to raid the local villages. Lyn, sword in hand, runs out to drive off the bandits by herself. Her patient stops her and insists on lending a hand, as they are a tactician by trade. Lyn accepts the Tactician's offer and tells them to stay close to her. By following the Tactician's advice, Lyn manages to defeat the bandits and returns home, with the tactician, to rest.
A girl named Lyn finds a person unconscious in the plains of Sacae, takes them in and nurtures them back to health. Shortly after the person regains consciousness, bandits arrive to raid the local villages. Lyn and her patient, the latter of whom is revealed to be a tactician by trade, defeat the bandits.

The next morning, Lyn requests to travel with the tactician. The tactician asks Lyn to seek permission from her parents. Lyn responds that her parents and her people - the Lorca - died six months prior. Bandits attacked her tribe and, despite her best efforts, Lyn failed to protect her people. Lyn wants to become stronger so that she may avenge the death of her people. The tactician is swayed by Lyn's passion and allows her to accompany them on their travels. Lyn promises to be the tactician's peerless warrior and the two set off on their journey.
