Mareeta has a personal brave weapon in the [[Mareeta's Sword]] which can help her secure kills. Her low bulk will require her to dodge to avoid significant damage, but the [[Paragon Sword]] can alleviate this issue while granting her quicker level-ups.
Mareeta is similar to [[Shiva]] in many ways. Her FCM of 5 makes her likely to crit on her second attack. She wields [[Mareeta's Sword]], a personal brave sword that provides [[Nihil]] to the wielder. She joins with very low HP, defense, and strength; she is easy to train, but barely does anything at base level. When she is fully trained, however, she is one of the best offensive units in the game. With her [[Luna]] skill letting her ignore defenses, and the ability to gain [[Astra]] via a conversation with Shannam, a trained Mareeta can annihilate anything.

If one opts to not use Mareeta, keep in mind that she is necessary to recruit [[Galzus]] and [[Eyvel]], and will need to be protected.
Mareeta has the misfortune of joining Leif's army at a time when excellent fighting skills are not as valuable as they were before. In many maps after she joins, aspects like staff utility and stealing are more important than good combat. Furthermore, she cannot even fight well without investment. Her action star gives her a 5% chance to act again upon completing her turn, but it is just a novelty. Mareeta also gets Adept after promotion, but it is typically overkill; between Astra, Luna, and training benefits, she will one-round anything regardless.

Overall, Mareeta is a growth unit with high combat potential, but she struggles to contribute anything meaningful when she joins.
