While Uther is unable to provide direct aid to the group, he points them to the [[Nabata]] desert to seek "the living legend". After saving the Mage General of [[Etruria]], [[Pent]] from bandits in the desert, Eliwood meets [[Athos]] for the first time; after seeking his advice and learning more of Nergal's twisted past, Eliwood is sent home by Athos in order to continue fighting against the Black Fang. After spending a day to rest in Pherae, Eliwood travels to Bern in disguise in order to attack the headquarters of the Black Fang.
