This Chapter presents a chain of timed objectives: recruit Innes's squad, as their AI can get them killed in a few turns if you don't; recruit Marisa, who will start moving once you enter the area; and deal with the reinforcements that arrive once you do. Be sure also to avoid the enemy Ballista range with any fliers you bring.

The enemy Archer on the edge of the map does not move, making it easy to sneak Tana—or Eirika, if Vanessa Rescues her—past the rest of the enemies to Innes, and back out as necessary. Once you do, Marisa's squad will start moving.
Marisa is among the weakest units in the game and her Shamshir provides little advantage over the Killing Edges you already have, so you could just ignore or kill her. Alternatively, if you can spare a Pure Water and a weak sword for Gerik, he can enter her range without being targeted by Sleep. You could also bring a staffer with Restore, have Innes use the Ballista on the Priest or just choke a point with him or Gerik until you've already beaten Pablo.
Most of the reinforcements are weak, but on Difficult mode, the Falcoknight is a problem. Innes can use the Ballista, with a second attack thanks to Tethys's Dance. There is also a Ranger, but it starts far away and you have more time to prepare.
The main threat Pablo poses is his high critical hit rate. Seth and Innes, who have high Luck, may face 0 Crit, and this is guaranteed for either after using Tethys's Goddess Icon.
