FE4 New Chapter Format
After wreaking my havoc upon the chapters of the first three games (though Gaiden didn't receive much of that), I am now turning my attention to Genealogy of the Holy War. The "Enemy data" section, I think, needs particular attention; it's a bit of a mess. Chapters have either every enemy that ever shows up on the "ChapEnemies" table or have all the enemies that don't start on the field under reinforcements, both of which tend to get cluttered. I propose instead that the units be split by faction, demonstrated below using data from Crisis in Agustria:

This clearly demonstrates the difference between particular factions and their affiliation with the player. Not to say that it's perfect, Authority combined with any notes jumbles that right up, but I think it's better. I also think that the Boss data could be split by faction in a similar fashion, still under its own section, but that's just rearranging some templates and adding some headers, so I didn't feel the need to demonstrate it here.
On a similar note, the colors of partner and NPC units seem to be switched by name, but the green units act like green units in any other game and the yellow units are a neutral party rather than an instructed one. Is this worthy of its own templates or should we just insert some "if" statements into the templates to account for this color difference? Or take the easy route and ignore it.
One more thing: I wasn't certain what to call the yellow unit map animations. We have some precedent for calling green partner, as a civilian sprite was under that label, but we have no yellows with names, and I didn't want to upload a few files only to change their names later and annoy everyone.
Genealogy is complicated. Thecornerman (talk) 08:15, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
