Berkut serves as one of the main antagonists of {{FE15}}. He is one of [[Desaix]]'s benefactors, and he vies for the Rigelian throne by performing military duties.<ref>{{Cite web|quote=The Rigelian Emperor's nephew, an advocate of the nobility who prizes his social standing. There are three different variations of Berkut available to ''Heroes'', all of which are tied to his storyline appearance in ''Echoes: Shadows of Valentia''. The normal variation of Berkut is one of the characters added to the game in the [[Bitter Enemies]] update, and was made available to players in the twelfth [[Grand Hero Battles|Grand Hero Battle]], which initially ran from July 18, 2017 through July 25, 2017. A corrupted variation of Berkut, based on his boss appearance after sacrificing [[Rinea]] to [[Duma]] in [[Together to the End|Act 5]], was first made available to be summoned by players on May 10, 2019 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the [[A Home Unknown]] update. A performance-themed variation of Berkut was made available between the period of September 6, 2018 through October 7, 2018 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the [[A Splendid Soiree]] update.
