Seth is widely considered to be the most powerful unit in the entire ''Fire Emblem'' series. He has very high base stats; 30 HP, 14 Str, 12 Spd, 11 Def, 8 Res, and A ranks in both lances and swords allow him to dominate almost the entire game. Only around chapter 15 will his bases start being somewhat lackluster, but by then his great growths, which are among the best in the game, will have kicked in plentifully. Even with only a few levels, he will easily be your strongest unit throughout the majority if not all of the game. The rest of your army will be all the stronger for the experience the player doesn't have to invest in him. Seth also has a mount, allowing him to traverse the battlefield with little issues and rescue units in danger. As if all this wasn't enough, Seth has near-perfect availability (only missing out on [[Unbroken Heart|Chapter 5x]]), but said Chapter is a unique case, so Seth's availability can be considered perfect.
