Unfortunately, Larcei is one of the many victims of ''Genealogy'' 's map design. The game strongly favors mounted units, since every map is very large and contains road tiles. Road tiles boost the movement of units moving across them. Since cavalry has higher movement, it benefits more, leaving unmounted units behind. Larcei falls behind the mounted frontline on every map except the one she joins in. The only reason she does not fall behind in her joining chapter is because [[Seliph]], the lord, is unmounted, too. As soon as Seliph promotes, however, Larcei will see much less use. Not only because the lord is promoted, but because the player gains access to more mounted units.
