The '''Shamshir''' (Japanese: {{hl|シャムシール|shamushīru}} ''Shamshir'') is a [[sword]]-type weapon which first appeared in {{FE8}}. It serves as the [[Magvel]] equivalent to the then-[[Elibe]]-specific [[Wo Dao]]—an alternative to the [[Killing Edge]] with a lower [[weapon level]] and an even higher [[critical rate]], albeit with a restricted userbase. The Shamshir can only be used by [[Myrmidon]]s, [[Swordmaster]]s, [[Assassin]]s, [[Eirika]], melee [[Bonewalker]]s, and melee [[Wight]]s.
