The Outrealms are mystical places accessible through the Outrealm Gate in Fire Emblem Awakening or the Dragon's Gate in Fire Emblem Fates. The realms are the DLC maps the player has purchased and can be accessed anytime at the player's leisure. The maps can be purchased through the "Purchase Maps" option in the Outrealm or Dragon's Gates and can then be played by clicking the "Play a Map" option.

The Outrealms consist of maps that either resemble areas from past Fire Emblem series or new maps created for the current game. Many of the Outrealms are called by different names as well. For example, the area used in the Summer Scramble map is called the "Hotrealms".

Outrealm maps in Awakening

The map used in the Champions of Yore pack is a recreation of the first chapter from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light. The map used in the Lost Bloodlines pack is a recreation of a segment of the map from the prologue chapter from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. The map used in the Smash Brethren pack is a recreation of the final map from Fire Emblem. The map used in the Rogues & Redeemers pack is a recreation of the eighth chapter from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
All other maps are originals to Awakening.
