Grado (Japanese グラド Grado) is one of the countries in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It is located in the center-south of Magvel. The countries that border Grado are Frelia to the northwest, Renais to the north, and Jehanna to the northeast. The country is named after its founder, Grado. Earthquakes are also a common occurrence in Grado.
Grado is one of the countries on Magvel to possess a Sacred Stone. Grado's sacred stone is unique among the others, as it houses the soul of the Demon King, Fomortiis. Grado's Sacred Stone is known as the Fire Emblem. Through the events of The Sacred Stones Grado's Sacred Stone is split in two, the Dark Stone, which contains the 'concentrated' essence of the Demon King, and the Sacred Stone, the remaining holy components of the stone which was soon after destroyed.
Before the events of the game Grado shared good relations with Renais, through this Grado gained an advantage over Renais in their surprise attack.
