Elwind (Japanese: エルウインド Elwind) is a recurring wind tome which debuted in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, appearing only in games which feature the three separate anima magic types of fire, thunder and wind. It acts as the second "stage" of the hierarchy of wind magic, as a counterpart to Elfire and Elthunder; it is superior to the basic Wind tome but requires a higher weapon rank to use, and in turn it is surpassed by the more advanced and powerful Arcwind and Tornado/Rexcalibur tomes.

This article or section is a short summary of Elwind. SmashWiki features a more in-depth article. |
Elwind will be Robin's up special move in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. When used in mid-air, Robin fires blade-shaped blasts of Elwind downward, propelling themselves upward as the blasts damage anyone they hit. Like all of Robin's tome attacks, using the Elwind special move will also set the tome to be used as part of some of Robin's other non-special moves, and it will "break" after a set number of uses, but further details on these mechanics remain to be seen.
