The Solar Brace is a promotion item exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Within the plot of the game, the Solar Brace is one of two keys protecting the Sacred Stone of Renais along with the country's Sacred Twin weapons, the Siegmund and the Sieglinde; the other key is the Solar Brace's twin, the Lunar Brace. The Solar Brace is worn by Ephraim, the prince of Renais, throughout much of the game.

The Solar Brace takes on its role as a promotion item once the room holding the Sacred Stone and Sacred Twins opens. Once awakened as a promotion item, it can be used to immediately promote Ephraim to a Great Lord, or saved for later so the player can promote Ephraim at their discretion.
