This article is about the advanced infantry class. For the advanced cavalry class called Forrest Knight in Japanese, see Ranger. For actual forests, see Terrain.

The (フォーレスト Forrest) is an advanced class exclusive to Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. One of the two promoted forms of the Myrmidon, it is functionally identical to the Hero of most other games and the Mercenary of Thracia 776; it differs solely in that it does not have access to axes. It is a counterpart to the Swordmaster, the other promotion for the Myrmidon, featuring on average lesser Skill and Speed than the Swordmaster and focusing primarily on power, with slightly better defensive bulk.
