The Chest Key is a fairly common item in the Fire Emblem series. It allows any unit to open chests, when normally, only thieves can do so. Their durability and price changes according to the game, the average being five uses.
The chest key first appeared in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and it is available in all subsequent games but Genealogy of the Holy War and Shadow Dragon.

- Despite being available on the shops of the original game, chest keys cannot be bought in Shin Monshou no Nazo, Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu.
