* The Japanese and US help descriptions erroneously state that the Bane skill incapacitates an enemy. Bane does reduce an enemy to 1 HP with a single strike, but does not technically incapacitate them; this was corrected in the European releases.

When activated, it reduces the target to 1 HP with a single strike. It cannot activate on attacks that would have otherwise done enough damage to kill the target.

Fire Emblem Cipher

Bane is present as a skill on one card in Fire Emblem Cipher: B05-054SR Guardian of Hope, Sothe. It is a trigger skill which comes into play during the opponent's turn when they deploy a new unit, which lets Sothe disrupt the deployment. Sothe's player may pay the deploy cost of the opponent's new unit in order to immediately destroy that unit.

Trivia

  • Bane derives its icon and Japanese name from the Path of Radiance icon and Japanese name for Lethality, which has a different icon and Japanese name from Radiant Dawn onward. It also uses a variant of the Lethality screen flash, colored purple like how Lethality looked in The Sacred Stones.
