The Axe General (Japanese: 斧武将 Axe General) is a class only found in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which uses axes as well as swords. They can promote to the Marshall class, and theoretically a member of the Armor Axe class would become an axe general; however, there are no playable armor axes. Comparable classes are the Sword General and Lance General classes.
Axe generals have quite high stats, since they act as promoted classes. They have high strength and defense with Good Resistance, but as most axe-using classes do, they lack in skill. Also, they have below-average speed. These weaknesses do not prevent them from succeeding as sturdy front-line units in an army, and they appear often as enemies. The only playable axe general is Brom.
