“ | The purest fire… Flame breath. Very impressive, Archsage Athos. | ” | — Nergal, on being struck by a cast of Forblaze |
---|
Forblaze (フォルブレイズ), the "Hellfire's Truth*" (業火の理, Scorching Reason), is one of the Divine Weapons of Elibe. Forged to combat dragons in The Scouring, it was the weapon of Archsage Athos of the Eight Generals, who sealed it away after the war, enshrined in a temple in Arcadia's outskirts[1].
When Bramimond released the seal on the Divine Weapons to permit Eliwood and Hector to use them to defeat Nergal, Athos collected Forblaze from its resting place and used it to assist them in the fight. After Athos's death, Forblaze was placed back in its resting place, unlockable only by residents of Arcadia[2]. Twenty years later, after driving out the Bern forces led by Oates which occupied the temple, Roy obtained the tome with the assistance of Sophia, and used it in the war on Bern and the War Dragons in its service.
