The Bael (バール, Baaru) class is an enemy-only class exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It is one of the monster classes that appear in Gaiden and The Sacred Stones; baels only appear in the latter game. A bael appears to be a gigantic spider, and they use several monster weapons.

Baels are enemy-only units, like all other monsters. They cannot use the dark monster weapons, such as Stone and Shadowshot, but they can use non-dark based monster weapons, such as Poison Claw and Lethal Talon.

Presumably, they change class to elder baels.
