'''Thoron''' (Japanese: {{hl|トロン|Toron}} ''Thoron'') is a recurring lightning-based [[Magic (element)|magic]] tome of considerable power which debuted in {{FE1}}. Originating as an [[Tome|uncategorised tome]], {{title|Genealogy of the Holy War}} later defined it as [[thunder magic]]. In most of its appearances, it is roughly equivalent in power and esteem to [[Bolganone]] and [[Tornado]], generally sharing the same [[weapon level]] and accordingly acting as a thunder counterpart to their [[Fire (magic)|fire]] and [[Wind (magic)|wind]] roles as the ultimate non-legendary spell of its kind. When cast, it strikes the target with a beam of lightning. In both {{title|Three Houses}} and {{title|Engage}}, it is an extended range weapon with 1-3 range instead of the standard 1-2 range of tomes. In ''Engage'', it is exceptionally heavy and cannot perform [[attack speed|follow-up attacks]] at all in exchange.
