I have memorized the classes promotional chain for [[Sacred Stones]] as well as weapon use and I think I can do the same for it's predecessor [[Sealed Sword]]. Give me the weekend and i SHOULD be able to put the information in on the classes I know by heart... However I think it would be a good idea to create a template for exactly how you want the information organized so that we don't have a big job later when we realize that all the class pages have slightly different formats. The hardest part is what stats are affected. The extrapolation of the proper growth rate equation has yet to surface (there are small holes in the current theory) and how the stats are affected are NOT only dependent on the caps set by the game. Capitals

Do we need so many capitals? Like Killing Edge, Weapon Triangle.. Article titles don't have to be capitalized like book titles, so we can have titles such as "Killing edge" or "Weapon triangle", as they're referred to in games after Rekka no Ken (the first worldwide game). They switched from listing "Iron Lance" to "Iron lance", and same with other weapons, although I think the weapon triangle was always lowercase. Seritinajii 05:06, 10 September 2010 (MDT)

Character page default layout

What's the default layout for the character pages? This appears to be the current setup:

  • (Games the character has appeared in)
    • Starting stats and growth rates
  • Personality and character
    • Support conversations
  • Other appearances
  • Etymology
  • Trivia
  • Gallery

So do support conversations warrant a section of their own? Also, are we making pages for support conversations? And is there anything we're missing? I feel like we might be missing something. Maybe appearance? Seritinajii 05:15, 16 September 2010 (MDT)

Here's my draft, based on Eirika, Marth, and Joshua combined:
  • Heading (brief explanation)
  • (Games the character has appeared in)
    • Role (Role in the story. Personality & character --> Personality and character section.)
    • Starting stats and growth rates (Not "Stat Growths"; they're usually referred to just as growth rates.)
    • Promotion stat gains
      • (Promotion classes) (stat gains listed here!)

(Growth rates go in "Starting stats and growth rates"!)

  • Personality and character (Describe character's personality and the character xemself (history, heritage, family, etc)
  • Support conversations
    • Support increase rates
    • Support stat bonuses? (How can we get these?)
  • Endings (All endings!)
  • Other appearances (Stickers count!)
  • Etymology (of name.)
  • Trivia (Not too much.)
  • Gallery

I was thinking of making community pages like Zelda Wiki. I was thinking for like a similar page to http://www.zeldawiki.org/Zelda_Wiki.org:Castle_Town and call it Ostia Square, after the largest territory in the Lycian League. Yusei 10:37, 18 September 2010 (MDT)

Too Many Stubs

There are way too many pages with little or no information. I think, before we make any more pages, we should work on filling up the ones we already have. I'm going to go ahead and start with that, but I'm going to need help. Legend 09:55, 23 September 2010 (MDT)

I'd recommend deleting all the class stubs. I can't think of what reason they serve. If you want to have a list of classes, it might be a better idea to do a list page. Aveyn Knight 08:28, 5 October 2010 (MDT)

Stat templates

I've found out that there are a lot of varying stat values for different games that'll require different stat templates - some only have str or mag, some have both str and mag, some have affinities, some do/don't have con and aid, etc. It's rather confusing and so here's my proposal -

  • A template for FE6-8 (the current standard template) with Str only
  • A template for FE6-8 with Mag only
  • A template for FE9-10 with Str and Mag - both!
  • A template for FE11 with Str and Mag but no affinity, con, or aid.

I'm pretty sure that's how they'd work.. and I'm not sure about FE1-5 though. Help! Seritinajii 19:16, 28 September 2010 (MDT)

Naming Conventions

Before I do anything, I'd like some confirmation as to one facet of this wiki's conventions: on the matter of official English names for characters, where conflicts exist between versions, which are accepted - Nintendo of America's names (Caeda, Navarre, Archanea, Sentinel, Dheginsea, Kyza, Order Incarnate, etc.) or Nintendo of Europe's names (Shiida, Nabarl, Akaneia, Lancer, Deghinsea, Kysha, Goddess of Order, etc.)? Similarly, where official NoA/NoE names are unavailable like in Japan-only games, what's our source for Romanised names? If no precedent exists yet, I'd advise use of the NoA names in that arguably they're better known and thus more likely to be searched, and I've got a vague working-out as to what to do in the case of a lack of an official English name if anyone's interested, but that's just me. I'm not exactly sure... although personally I prefer the Nintendo of America names, that doesn't really affect what the wiki should use. But I do agree with the fact that a lot of the NOA names are more used (except Archanea). Sounds like a good idea. These are the official names, it appears. A lot of names were changed in English localizations (Coma -> Colm, Xyst (?!) -> Gerik, etc.), but since these haven't been changed to English we can stay with these names.
