Laguz

Laguz are a race of half-human and half-beast beings, which appear in Template:FEPR and Template:FERD. Referred to as the "children of strength", they have the ability to temporarily focus their energies and transform into an animal, making the most of their physical strength. There are three main tribes of Laguz: dragon, bird and beast. Their relationship with the Beorc has been strained over the years, as many Beorc treat them as less beings, calling them "sub-humans". On rare occasions, Beorc and Laguz interbreed, creating the Branded.

Laguz means "water", "lake", "leek", or "ocean".
