Fire Emblem 64 is a cancelled project for the Nintendo 64. Little is known about this project; it has only been mentioned in a few interviews. No screenshots were ever released, nor details about the game's plot or mechanics. It was officially announced in September, 1998, but then confirmed cancelled two years later, due to difficulties with the hardware specs' compatibility with the game system. Development then moved to Maiden of Darkness, which was later renamed Fuuin no Tsurugi, or Sword of Seals.
