Village of Silence/Script
Eirika continues her journey through the Caer Pelyn mountain range with Saleh. Eirika's group, and Eirika in particular, has difficulty with the terrain and thin air in the mountainous peaks. Saleh states they are only half a day's travel to the village; Seth suggests they rest for the rest of the day, but Eirika insists they continue. Innes notes the inhospitable terrain, but Saleh states they survive with the Great Dragon. Seth then alerts them to approaching monsters; Saleh notes that monsters have not traveled so far from Darkling Woods in some time, and the group prepares for battle.
At the start of the battle, Saleh states his concern for Ewan, who had went ahead to Caer Pelyn earlier in the day. At the same time, Ewan flees a monster, taking refuge from it in a nearby house.
If someone from Eirika's group visits the southern house Ewan will come out of hiding and help fight off the monsters. If Ewan's house is not visited, Saleh or Tethys can find him after the battle if they are alive; Ewan expresses his desire to help, and leaves with them to Caer Pelyn.
Upon routing the monsters, Eirika's group enters Caer Pelyn, where they are greeted by Saleh's grandmother, Dara. If Saleh is alive, Dara asks him about new of the Great Dragon, but Saleh reports that he has found nothing. Innes introduces himself as the prince of Frelia, and requests permission to pass through the area. Dara states that the people of Caer Pelyn are all equal, and welcomes the group into Caer Pelyn's homes and to their supplies. Innes desires to continue through quickly, but Dara insists, mentioning that Eirika is on the verge of collapse. If Saleh died, Dara asks if Eirika and Innes have seen him, and Innes expalins that Saleh died fighting monsters.
Later, in one of the buildings, Eirika asks Dara about the Great Dragon. Dara explains that the Great Dragon protected mankind from the Demon King 800 years ago; modern retellings of the Legend of the Sacred Stones do not mention the Great Dragon, but Dara states that the Great Dragon was integral to defeating the Demon King and still watches over his corpse in Darkling Woods. Eirika then asks why there are monsters about the continent; Dara states that the Great Dragon left south with Saleh to investigate a "foul energy"—however, Saleh was sepparated from the Great Dragon, and has been searching for them across the continent. Eirika realizes that Myrrh is the Great Dragon, and informs Dara that Myrrh is with her brother in Grado. If Saleh is alive, Dara instructs Saleh to travel to Grado to find Myrrh, but L'Arachel suggests that Saleh travel with them, as the quickest way to Grado is through Jehanna, to which Saleh agrees.
Dara sees Eirika's group off in their travels to Jehanna. If Saleh is alive, he shows Eirika's group to the path to Jehanna; Dara requests that they look after Saleh, as he is her only grandchild.
