This page details the effects of how levels scale in Fates's paralogue and non-scenario xenologue chapters (barring Hoshidan Festival of Bonds and Nohrian Festival of Bonds, in which an international release which has not yet happened is necessary in order to properly observe these effects), as well as each campaign's Invasions 1 and 2 (Invasion 3 first becomes available at the chapter 27 position, making skew impossible in this instance). I am not one of the lucky roughly-0.1% to have access to any to the amiibo stages, hence I cannot observe those stages (and thus could not chime in when heavy weather brewed over the subject of those stages' scaling mechanisms or lack thereof).

"Progress" denotes the next mainline chapter in line from the point of observation; for example, a chapter 8 save would be one where the next mainline chapter would be chapter 8. No mainline chapters have their articles linked due to this chart being intended for use in any of Fates's three campaigns.

Blanket note for child paralogues: Recruitable children characters stop their external growth at level 20 unpromoted, which happens upon reaching the chapter 18 position. From the chapter 19 position onward, these characters will retain their external characteristics as of the chapter 18 position, but will have an additional Offspring Seal in their inventory; these Offspring Seals will put these characters into a promoted class with their level scaled to other characters that were initially level 10 unpromoted in their recruitment chapters (example: A Kana recruited at the chapter 19 position will scale to level 2 in his/her chosen advanced class upon using the Offspring Seal).
