Topic (Japanese: TOPIC), is a communication App used by characters in Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE to text each-other.
Overview
Topic is a feature on the Wii U GamePad, the touch screen can be used to navigate messages and other features. The GamePad also features a map for the current area or dungeon Itsuki is in.
Characters can text Itsuki varying messages, sometimes Itsuki, and thus the player, can respond differently depending on the on-screen choice.
Sometimes Topic conversations can lead to sidequests, but there are also plenty of humorous interactions between characters.
There are several sub sections of the program, the buttons can me tapped on the touch screen to change through them
Main Story
Text relating to main story events, this includes blurbs on the game's chapters. Characters also discuss the events of the chapter in this section.
Side Story
These are messages which are in relation to side stories the player has accepted.
Contacts
Shows messages from individual people, incoming messages are on the left and replies are on the right. More are added here as the game progresses.
