The Bandits of Borgo/Script
Eirika and Seth pursue the thief who stole Eirika's bracelet to the hideout of Bazba's Bandits. Eirika laments the lawlessness Renais has descended into as a result of Grado's invasion. Later, a girl named Neimi approaches the group, begging them to help her friend Colm, who has left alon for Bazba's hideout to retrieve a stolen item. Eirika agrees to help Neimi, as they share a destination and she does not wish to ignore the plight of her countrymen. When they arrive at the hideout and begin to battle, Neimi offers to help with her archery skill.
During the battle, Colm sneaks into the fortress and begins to steal from the bandits. Neimi can talk with Colm; Neimi begs him to leave the hideout with her, but Colm harshly refuses—when Neimi begins to cry, Colm tells her to remain by his side and he carries on with his mission.
After Eirika seizes the throne, if Neimi and Colm both survived, Neimi begins to cry again and makes Colm promise to stop doing such dangerous stuff by himself. Colm reveals that he managed to retrieve her mother's mirror. Seth then interrupts and demands that Colm return Eirika's bracelet; Seth lectures Colm, telling him that if he cares for Neimi, he will choose to lead his life differently. As Seth leaves, Colm requests to join Eirika's group; Seth defers the decision to Eirika, who accepts the two into. Seth then returns the bracelet to Eirika, informing her that she must never lose it. When she questions him, Seth confirms he is keeping information from Eirika, but she choses to trust his reticence.
At Grado keep, the Imperial Three—Duessel, Selena, and Glen—have been called for an audience with Emperor Vigarde. Before they see the king, the three discuss the sorrowful state of Renais; Glen and Duessel wonder what Vigarde's intent is with the invasion and neglect of Renais, and the recent choices in promotions. Selena reminds them that it is not their place to question Vigarde's orders. The three proceed to the throne room. Vigarde commends the Imperial Three, but feels more generals are necessary; he proceeds to announce the promotions of Riev, Caellach, and Valter. Vigarde assigns the generals tasks: Selena and Caellach are to conquer Frelia; Duessel and Riev are to defend Grado; and Glen and Valter are assigned to capture Eirika and Ephraim.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
This chapter is very straight forward: move towards the throne and kill all units in your way. Remember to recruit Colm when he appears on turn 2 by talking to him with Neimi. While you can create a path by destroying sections of the walls, it would probably be inefficient and waste time. You do not need to send Colm to unlock the southern chest because the brigand next to it will drop a Chest Key.
