Takumi's Shinai
| ||||
|
Takumi's Shinai (Japanese: タクミの竹刀 Takumi's Bamboo Sword) is a katana that debuted in Fire Emblem Fates. Named for the Hoshidan prince Takumi, it possesses middling stats with the lowest power of any katana, aside from the Daikon Radish, and it is unable to kill enemies at all with lethal hits always leaving them with just one hit point remaining. While it is effectively useless for serious combat, it is a helpful tool for feeding experience to weaker units, as a stronger unit can use it to cut an enemy's HP down to the point where weaker units can quickly kill them.

- Takumi's default class and all his class change options lack the ability to wield katana, meaning Takumi needs a support to be able to wield the weapon bearing his name.

Takumi's Shinai |
A shinai is a mock bamboo sword used in the modern martial art of kendo. It was designed as a practice weapon which would simulate the weight of a proper katana without the risk of injuring its user or their target, and is made up of four segments which are designed to bend on contact, causing nothing worse than bruises no matter how hard it is swung. |
