First game

Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade

The Shine Barrier or Light Rune (Japanese: 光の結界 Light Barrier) is an item which was introduced in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and, in legitimate gameplay, appears only in it and Radiant Dawn. It allows the user to place a stage hazard onto the map which prevents the space the object is placed onto from being crossed by any unit, which makes it a useful tool to slow down enemy advances. The obstacle is temporary and will vanish after several turns, turning the space it was on back to normal. It will not stop enemy reinforcements and they may still spawn on top of the Light Rune.
