Patience (Japanese: 後の先 Late Initiative) is one of several skills in the Fire Emblem series. A handy defensive skill learned by mercenaries, it boosts the unit's hit and avoid by 10 points whenever an enemy unit starts a round of combat. It returned in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes where it is associated with the Trickster class and increases the damage dealt by the user to the enemy's Stun Gauge if the enemy is preparing an attack.

Trivia
- This skill shares the same Japanese name as the enemy phase attack theme from Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, which the skill’s effect of providing a bonus on the enemy phase also seems to reference. The skill which serves as a thematic parallel/opposite to this one, Prescience, also shares its name with the player phase attack theme of New Mystery of the Emblem.
