“ | Well, are we done? Let's hurry up and go kick their asses! | ” | — Orsin |
Orsin (Japanese: オーシン Othin) is a warrior from Fiana Village in Thracia, and a member of Eyvel's Fiana Freeblades.
Contents
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Role
Orsin was with the Freeblades on a job outside Fiana when it fell under attack by the forces of Manster under the command of Weissmann, during which Nanna and Mareeta were kidnapped by Raydrik. With the Freeblades, Orsin drove the Manster army out of Fiana before leaving with Leif and Eyvel to rescue them. Although he was separated from Leif after their assault on the Kelbeth fortress, Orsin and the rest of the Freeblades regrouped with him following Leif's escape from Manster, and he continued to serve as the Fiana Freeblades evolved into Leif's liberation army.

As with most of the rest of Leif's party, Orsin is forced to temporarily leave after Chapter 3, if he is still alive and has not been captured at that point. He automatically rejoins the party at the beginning of Chapter 8.
Personality and character
Orsin is blunt, hot-blooded, reckless and has quite the temper. Eyvel hints that he tends to get caught up in the fervor of battle and overdo it.

Trivia
- Orsin is the only character to have a weapon named for him in Awakening - in his case, Orsin's Hatchet - who does not himself appear as a SpotPass or DLC character.
- He is also one of only two characters where this applies for items overall, the other being Kris.

Language | Name | Definition, etymology and notes |
English | Orsin | As of Fire Emblem Awakening. May be loosely derived from Oisin, a masculine Irish given name. Oisín (alternatively Osian, the Welsh form of the name) is a member of the Fianna in Irish mythology. |
English (unofficial) |
Othin | -- |
Japanese | オーシン | Officially romanized as Othin. Othin is occasionally used as a translation of Óðinn (usually Odin), although the resemblance between the two names is likely not intended; the Fire Emblem Orsin's Japanese name does not resemble the Japanese name of Óðinn at all, and much more likely derives from Oisín, given the pronunciation and the character being in the Fiana Freeblades, a group named after the Fianna. |
