Ninis's Grace
| ||||||
|
Ninis's Grace (Japanese: ニニスの守護 Ninis's Protection) is a dance item which was introduced in and, in legitimate gameplay, is exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. When used by Nils or Ninian, it allows them to conduct a performance which provides a temporary boost to the defensive prowess of their allies. In-universe, the ring is a treasured possession of Ninian's, and recovering it is the purpose of the plot of Chapter 7x.
History
Ninis's Grace was a ring which was once blessed by Ninis, a spirit of ice.[1] It was one of Ninian's most treasured possessions and a keepsake of her late mother, Aenir.[2] After their first escape from capture by the Black Fang, Ninian and Nils noticed the ring was missing, stolen by the Fang, and Lyn decided to invade the nearby Fang stronghold to retrieve it from Beyard. Her effort was successful and the ring was returned to Ninian, who a year later used its abilities to assist Eliwood.

Trivia
- Like the other dancer rings, the Japanese version's help description for Ninis's Grace says that Ninis, the ring's namesake, is a spirit of ice who has blessed the ring. Unlike the other rings, this reference is mentioned in story dialogue in Chapter 7 and was kept there in localization. The dialogue also goes on to mention that the ring is a one-of-a-kind artifact.[1]
- Ninis's Grace is the only one of the dancer rings whose name does not reference a member or weapon of Jugdral's Twelve Crusaders.
- Ninis's Grace went through several name changes before the final game, ranging from "Battle Robe" to "Defense Robe" before getting its finalized name.
