Micaiah has mysterious powers that allow her to heal the wounded and gain insight into the future. Together with her close friend Sothe, she formed the Dawn Brigade, a band of rebels who battled to protect the kingdom of Daein from the chaos and hardship of war.
But in a strange twist of fate, Micaiah discovered that her bloodline originated in Begnion, Daein’s oppressor. She was in fact the older sister of Empress Sanaki, and it turned out that her strange powers were those of the Apostles of Begnion!
Meanwhile, the strife sown by the war that raged across Tellius brought about the resurrection of Ashera, the Goddess of Order, plunging the world into peril. With the aid of Yune, the Goddess of Chaos, Micaiah challenged the merciless Ashera.
It was a long and fraught battle, but Micaiah eventually triumphed! Not long after, she became the new queen of Daein at the invitation of her new subjects. Though the kingdom was exhausted by the long conflict, a new dawn awaited!

Some say that Sothe is like a zephyr, and his soft, white groom’s outfit really makes him look the part! He’s even more dashing than ever!

Micaiah, meanwhile, looks truly elegant in her dress, which uses a light, diaphanous material to great effect. She looks just like a princess!

Once a kingdom in the continent of Tellius, Daein was brought down by war. But there was a Hero who sought to free Daein from its conquerors and restore the kingdom…and her name is Micaiah!
Micaiah was the leader of the Dawn Brigade, an army that fought to liberate Daein and was embroiled in the war that shook Tellius. Eventually, the rampant conflict caused Ashera, the goddess of order, to awaken.
Having risen from her slumber, Ashera attempted to bring her judgment down upon mankind for violating the peace. But then, Micaiah used the hidden power within her to channel Yune, the goddess of chaos.
Emerging victorious, Micaiah became the ruler of a new Daein, supported by the people. Under her guidance, the kingdom ushered in a radiant dawn!

Sothe is a thief from Nevassa, the capital of Daein. He’s a Hero who’s made his mark on history, first fighting in the war between Daein and Crimea, and then in the war triggered by Begnion!
Raised as an orphan, Sothe had a happy childhood, but when he encountered the fortune teller Micaiah, his life changed completely. Joined by an unbreakable bond, the two found themselves at the mercy of the conflict that raged across Tellius.
After being separated from her, Sothe encountered the Greil Mercenaries during his attempts to find Micaiah. Later in life, he experienced much personal growth through the activities of the Dawn Brigade, the group formed to resist Begnion’s occupation of Daein.
Sothe can be a little severe to people other than Micaiah, who’s like an adopted sister to him. Even still, I’m sure his kindness and his desire to protect what’s important to him no matter what will guide him to a happier future!

Sothe usually fights using a dagger, and his weapon of choice has picked up some extra flair for the festival in the form of an attached calling card. It even has a purple rose decoration on the grip!
I wonder what kind of riches Sothe has his eye on at the festival… Whatever big heist he’s planning, I hope he doesn’t do anything that would make Micaiah worry!

The duke of Felirae, Ludveck is a powerful nobleman of Crimea with a distant relation to the royal family. He’s also a zealous patriot with high-minded ideals regarding Crimea’s protection.
After the war with Daein, Elincia became Crimea’s queen. However, Elincia’s deep kindness made her seem like a weak hypocrite to Ludveck.
Fearful for Crimea’s future, Ludveck raised a rebel army. He then took Elincia’s retainer, Lucia, hostage and demanded that Elincia abdicate.

However, the rebellion failed, and Ludveck was forced to surrender. He then made another demand: the Crimean throne in exchange for Lucia’s life. But Elincia would not listen to his threats—and Ludveck’s ambitions came to a sorry end…

People often think this kind of clothing is difficult to move around in, but that won’t stop Lethe. She looks as nimble and agile as ever!

That lion’s-head mask she’s carrying is used in the lion dance, a traditional New Year performance. Here’s Muarim, the second-in-command of the Laguz Emancipation Army! Together with his allies Tormod and Vika, he joined the Daein Liberation Army to break free from Begnion’s oppressive rule.
Muarim was the victim of a tragedy not long after returning from battle—one of his allies gave him a dose of a potion with disastrous effects!
The effects of the potion made Muarim lose all control and sapped his vitality. Even when Tormod and the others called out to him, he only growled…
This maddened state left Muarim writhing in pain, but thankfully, he was brought back by the song of the heron laguz. I hope he takes plenty of time to rest so he can get right back to being the upstanding, heroic leader we know so well!

Today I’m introducing you to Vika, a member of the Laguz Emancipation Army! She’s a raven laguz who’s come all the way from Tellius to join the pirate festival!
One thing about Vika that always stands out to me is her bold, eclectic look—she’s not too bothered about appearances. Still, she looks so natural in her pirate attire!
As you can see, she’s also carrying a telescope in her hand. Vika can fly up high in the sky, and with that handy little lens, she’ll be able to spot treasure from miles away!

Vika doesn’t mingle with others much, but I can tell she’s having a good time. I guess you could say she’s already found the pirate festival’s real treasure: having fun with everyone!

The mysterious desert kingdom of Hatari lies in eastern Tellius, and many regard it as a land of mirages beyond the Desert of Death. But Hatari is very much real, and today I’ll be introducing you to its queen, Nailah!
In addition to being Hatari’s monarch, Nailah is also the kingdom’s mightiest warrior. When she transforms into her wolf form, she’s unstoppable! She’s also the possessor of an evil eye that has the power to turn its victims to stone.
This does make Nailah sound rather scary, especially the whole thing about having an evil eye, but she’s not coldhearted. Take her relationship with her husband, Rafiel, for example—she saved his life after he collapsed during a journey to his destroyed homeland.
Nailah is many things: a stern, uncompromising queen, a fearless warrior, a devoted partner… And someone I can look up to!

The Desert of Death lies to the east of Daein, and the lost kingdom of Hatari is hidden among its sands. Today, I’ll be talking about Nailah, the Queen of Hatari, as she makes her appearance in her bridal outfit!
Nailah is known as the Wolf Queen, and as you can imagine, she usually has a much more wild appearance. Wearing her bridal attire, however, she looks truly elegant. I wonder if those feathers around her waist were inspired by her partner, Rafiel?
The bouquet she’s holding is made of flowers collected from around her desert homeland. They’re a symbol of strength and beauty—a perfect match for Nailah!
This new look truly is a fantastic pairing of wild ferocity with noble elegance! And with Nailah and Rafiel in charge, I’m sure Hatari will have a bright future that’s just as dazzling as her outfit is!

I have to say, that outfit really complements her lithe, powerful physique. The gold accenting and that bright red cape give it a truly vibrant look too!
By the way, the staff she’s carrying is an example of traditional Hatari craftsmanship, featuring some gorgeous goldwork paired with an aggressive-looking set of horns!
Nailah is a laguz, and despite the fractious history between the people of Tellius, she’s friendly toward the beorc as well—the only thing she’s looking for at this festival is strength. I wonder if she’ll find a worthy champion…

The stories of the creation of Tellius say that the world was once drowned by a flood. Only the continent of Tellius survived, and during the age of legends that followed, there was a heroic swordswoman: Altina!
The world of Tellius was created by Ashunera, the Goddess of Dawn. She desperately tried to stop a conflict that had engulfed her creation, only for her powers to overwhelm her and bring about a great flood. At the end of the calamity, Ashunera split into two entities: Ashera, the Goddess of Order, and Yune, the Goddess of Chaos.
Ashera and Yune were locked into battle against each other, but Ashera recruited some powerful allies. The swordswoman Altina, the leader of the dragon tribe, Dheginsea, and the the laguz warrior Soan, took Ashera’s side, and together they defeated Yune!
After the battle, Altina founded the kingdom of Begnion. Many years have passed since then, but her bloodline and her ambition have endured, culminating in her descendants today: Sanaki and Micaiah!

You might wonder what drives him. Well, it seems that his true desire is to surpass his former mentor… I’m not sure who this mentor was, but looking at Zelgius’s track record so far, I don’t think his dream is out of reach. Keep it up, Zelgius! You’ll show them one day!

Oliver loves and admires beauty above all else. Whenever he sees beauty in something, he feels driven to claim it and bring it under his protection. Unfortunately, this covers everything from works of art to actual people.

Though he enjoys a respectable position as a member of Begnion’s senate, Oliver will employ any means, fair or foul, to protect his finds.

Ashera is the deity who created the land of Tellius, and people call her “the goddess of order.”
In fact, Ashera was once Ashunera, the Goddess of Dawn. Overcome by the chaotic emotions within her, Ashunera brought a terrible calamity upon the world.
Regretting her deeds, Ashunera cast off her troubled emotions. From then on, she took the name Ashera, goddess of order. This separation also gave birth to Yune, the goddess of chaos, whom she then had sealed away.

With Yune banished, Ashera established a covenant with the people of Tellius that forbade them from warring with each other, and then she entered a deep slumber. I hope the people of Tellius keep up their promise…

Long, long ago, Ashunera, the Goddess of Dawn, created a distant world. Sometime after, she separated half of her essence, creating Yune, the Goddess of Chaos.

This separation also resulted in the creation of Ashera, the Goddess of Order, and the two struggled against each other. Yune lost the conflict and was sealed within a medallion to slumber forevermore.
“Forevermore” turned out to be temporary, though. Yune was freed by Micaiah after she sang the Galdr of Release. The world had been ravaged by war, and the chaotic energies that ensued would have woken Yune before Micaiah could plead mankind’s case.
