Hold Out

Hold Out (Japanese: 踏ん張り Standing Firm) is a four-tiered skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Engage. It is gained by equipping Roy's Emblem Ring, or inheriting it from him. Hold Out lets its user survive otherwise lethal damage when the user is above a certain HP threshold at the start of combat. The user will survive all damage within that round of combat, leaving them with 1 HP remaining if they would have died. The HP threshold lowers with increasing tiers of the skill, all the way down to just 2 HP at Hold Out+++.
