File: A file basically is a photograph. A file can be a JPEG, GIF, PNG, or any of the other types of photographs out there.
GIF: GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format. GIF is a compressed format for images that works well with slow computers.
JPEG: JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group. JPEG is a standardized way of compressing still images. JPEG is popular due to the range of things it can compress.
Link: A link is used to take someone from one page to another. Links help by allowing users to quickly go from page to page.
Merging: Merging is the process of combining two objects. On this Wiki, merging is the process of combining multiple different pages into one page. This is useful for multiple articles that are similar to each other.
Protected: A protected page is a page that is page that cannot be edited due to something happening to it, such as vandalism.
Redirect: A redirect is used to take a person to another page. This is useful if you have moved a page to another location.
Stub: A stub is an article that is generally short and undetailed. A stub should be expanded to have as much detail as possible.
