Defiant Spd (Japanese: 速さの覚醒 Awakening speed) is a three-tiered passive type A skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill are Defiant Spd 1, Defiant Spd 2, and Defiant Spd 3 in order from lowest to highest. Units with a Defiant Spd skill gain a boost to their Speed stat at the start of the player's turn should the player's HP be less than half of their total; the size of the Speed boost increases with the skill's tier.

The skill was later introduced to the main series in Three Houses, where it is an ability obtained by mastering the Bow Knight class. It retains a similar effect and use to what it had in Heroes.
