Dining

Oooh! Exquisite! This is exactly the meal I've been craving.
— Liked meal
How I do look forward to mealtime! Though I'm not quite sure about today's menu...
— Neutral meal
Come now, Constance. You've eaten worse. You can get through this.
— Disliked meal
Constance: Dear me, there is a stain on Your Highness's dish! Hmm. The plating hasn't survived on mine, either.
Edelgard: I appreciate your concern, but this isn't the place for such formality. We must make allowances for the dining hall, don't you think?

— With Edelgard and no or C support between them
Edelgard: Five years in and I still marvel at how people from every walk of life can dine peacefully together here. Truly miraculous, don't you think?
Constance: It is indeed. It helps Your Majesty to seem not so high above the rest of the populace.

— With Constance and B support or higher between them
Mercedes: I have a lovely idea! How about I invite another friend next time so that the four of us can enjoy each other's company?
Constance: Of course! That sounds delightful and not the least bit likely to cause anxiety...

— With Mercedes and no or C support between them
Mercedes: Constance... Am I mistaken, or were you somewhat averse to vegetables in the past?
Constance: Mercedes, shush! Keep these embarrassments to yourself while there are others present.

— With Mercedes and B support or higher between them
Constance: Hapi! Have we not discussed your revolting table manners enough?!
Hapi: Here we go again. Food tastes better when I eat it like this, Coco.

— With Hapi and no or C support between them
Constance: Behold, Professor! We need only sprinkle a bit of this secret ingredient that Hapi and I found and...
Hapi: Coco... If you go and tell everyone about it, it's not much of a secret.

Should you decide to lend your aid to the restoration of House Nuvelle, seek me at any hour.
Tea parties such as this were once so...commonplace for me. And they will be again!
Moments like these make me wistful for the time I spent and the people I knew underground.
I haven't anything in the way of funds, so my comeback must be earned through some grand achievement.
I was born and raised on the western edge of Adrestia. My home was a beautiful port town.
You wish to know the secret of House Nuvelle? That's not something I divulge to just anybody.
Ever since that fateful day when the Dagdan army took House Nuvelle's territory, I've been on my own.
The field of magic is brimming with mysteries, and I shall be the one to unravel them!
Your noble cause and my own grand dreams both ought to be held tight. May nothing stand in our way!

House Nuvelle is a noble house which exists mainly on paper. I harbor little hope that it may someday be rebuilt.
Tea parties such as this were once so...commonplace for me. I am ashamed to have not appreciated them fully at the time.
Will it not damage your reputation to sit with me? Shall I stay at a discreet distance?
Though my dream can never be achieved, I shall continue my futile efforts. I simply see no other course of action.
I dare not allow myself the luxury of sweets. When I do eat them, it is only with the utmost reluctance.
People often remark that I lack any opinions of my own. What do you think about that?
How cruel that House Nuvelle, with its long and storied history, should have no heirs left save but me.
The notion that I might be the only thing holding me back occurs to me regularly.
My house was too accustomed to peace to be prepared for a war. Small wonder that they were eradicated.

I excel in any confrontation that involves magic, of course, but what should happen if my foe is resistant—or, dare I say it, immune? I am afraid I would be quite powerless!

Leave that to an expert in physical weapons. Sounds like you still have training to do. Take them on with your bare hands.

Recruitment

Oh? Have you come to beg my assistance? Much as you could clearly use my support... I have no desire to place myself in direct sunlight.
— Ask to recruit, requirements unmet
Oh? Have you come to beg my assistance? Then rejoice, for you have the aid of a Nuvelle! You did come seeking my aid, yes? Hopefully with something befitting my station.
— Ask to recruit, requirements met
I would appreciate your help. Thanks, but no.
An assignment for the Officers Academy? How splendid! I was a former attendee there myself, you know. I shall be a model of grace in my duties. Ah... You have no role worthy of me, then. Well, one shall arise eventually, I am sure.

Edelgard: Constance, do you think you'll be able to work in your...present condition?
Constance: Let us hope that I prove no barrier to accomplishing our given task.
Edelgard: Hm. Indeed. Let's just get through this as best we can, shall we?

— Stable duty or sky watch with Edelgard and no or C support between them
Constance: One more failure could mean utter ruin for House Nuvelle...
Edelgard: That is utterly ridiculous. One small assignment cannot affect your fate to such a degree.
Constance: It is kind of you to say so. It does nothing for my house, but...it helps me a small bit.

— Stable duty or sky watch with Edelgard and B support or higher between them
Constance: I couldn't bear to inconvenience you, Mercedes. The mere thought of it leaves me weak-kneed.
Mercedes: Are you feeling all right, Constance? If not, perhaps you'd better rest a bit...
Constance: Nonsense. Consider me a beast of burden, existing only to toil at your command.

— Stable duty or sky watch with Mercedes and no or C support between them
Constance: You always try so hard. This time, it's my turn to pull us through.
Mercedes: Incorrect. It is my turn. And it shall be my turn next time as well. Your role here is to wait in the shade.
Constance: Oh no, that just won't do! It will be much better if we work together.

— Stable duty or sky watch with Mercedes and C support or higher between them
Constance: My darkest fear is that I shall be a burden to you, dear Hapi.
Hapi: Yeesh. Try not to worry about that, OK? Let's both focus on getting this done. See if you can work in the shade, Coco. We might finish up more quickly that way.

— Stable duty or sky watch with Hapi and no or C support between them
Hapi: Look, I already know how you're feeling. Let's just get this done, all right?
Constance: Nobody understands me as you do, dear Hapi. But still, I feel so weary...
Hapi: You need to get to bed earlier. What else is new?

— Stable duty or sky watch with Hapi and B support or higher between them

Results

I shall aim even higher!
— Good
We have succeeded handily.
— Perfect
Constance: This isn't indicative of my true capabilities. It so happens that I was somewhat off form today.
Edelgard: I am well aware of your capabilities, so perhaps you could refrain from using your magic...at least while we're indoors.

— Good result with Edelgard and no or C support between them
Constance: A matchless accomplishment, yes? Take note, Your Highness! Ahaha!
Edelgard: You are most fascinating. With that attitude, I feel confident your house will be restored in no time.

— Perfect result with Edelgard and no or C support between them
Edelgard: You must promise to stay strong, Constance. We worked hard, and we should be proud.
Constance: I need no consolation, Your Majesty. Though I can feel my house's fortunes slip through my fingers...

— Good result with Edelgard and B support or higher between them
Constance: We've done it, Your Majesty! Our strengths mesh quite well together.
Edelgard: Agreed. Perhaps we bring out the best in each other.

— Perfect result with Edelgard and B support or higher between them
Constance: This was not up to my usual standard. There must be some mistake. It's unbecoming.
Mercedes: Please don't worry yourself. Your face is too lovely to mar with a frown.

— Good result with Mercedes and no or C support between them
Constance: Haha! We've worked hard and finished our task quickly. It feels wonderful!
Mercedes: The task posed no challenge at all between the two of us!

— Perfect result with Mercedes and no or C support between them
Mercedes: Oh, if only I had tried even harder! Next time, I promise I won't let you down.
Constance: I loathe being this millstone around her neck... I must work harder to ensure it never happens again.

— Good result with Mercedes and B support or higher between them
Constance: Ahaha! Observe, Professor! Who but we two could come close to such results?
Mercedes: We finished our work so quickly today! It's all thanks to Constance, I'm sure of it.

— Perfect result with Mercedes and B support or higher between them
Constance: I don't like to point fingers, but Coco really slowed us down.
Hapi: That wasn't— Ugh, very well. It was my fault—but only technically!

— Good result with Hapi and no or C support between them
Constance: This is proof enough that the bond we forged underground has born fruit!
Hapi: That's a little dramatic, but you're not wrong. We work well together.

— Perfect result with Hapi and no or C support between them
Constance: Hapi, you were magnificent. It seems I was nothing more than dead weight.
Hapi: Eh. To be honest, neither of us did all that great.

— Good result with Hapi and B support or higher between them
Constance: Pushing past the limits of sleep deprivation is most thrilling!
Hapi: Sure, job well done, yay for us. Maybe get some sleep now, OK?

— Perfect result with Hapi and B support or higher between them

Goal change request

What better way to complement my magical abilities than flying over the battlefield? Picture yours truly, raining spells onto our foes from above! By studying reason and flying at the same time, I can make this vision manifest.

Part II question

I consider it my duty to gift the world with innovations in magic, but my designs rarely have utility in battle. How do I overcome my weakness in this area, in your view?
Neutral response Liked response Disliked response
Your innovations don't always need to be useful in combat. Practice is the path to improvement. Keep experimenting. Just wait. Inspiration will strike you eventually.
